How did Ramon AyalaI start his Professional Career?

All of Ramón Ayala’s life, he has been creating Norteno music. His father gave him his first accordion as a gift. Additionally, Los Jilgueros de Marin was his first band experience. He later merged with Los Pavoreales. Ramon and his family moved to Tamaulipas in 1959. Ramon was employed here in the cotton fields.

In 1963, Ramon and Cornelio Reyne crossed paths at a bar named “El Cadillac.” The two created Los Relampagos del Norte, which issued a self-titled debut album. Los Relampagos Del Norte revolutionized Norte music, which was previously believed to be solely cantina music, and dominated the music charts for the following eight years.

To appeal to a larger audience, Ramon and Cornelio made the music and lyrics more lively. The duo put out 20 albums in total, several of which contained popular songs like “El Disgusto,” “Devoucion,” “Mi Tesoro,” “Tengo Miedo,” and others.

Contrarily, Cornelio made the decision to leave Los Relampagos del Norte in 1971 in order to become a mariachi performer. A lot of musicians are quite passionate about this subject. Ramon was only the accordion player at the time; Cornelio was the voice of Los Relampagos Del Norte.

From the beginning, Ramon’s brief career was doomed. On the other hand, Cornelio’s mariachi career was at best average. As a brand-new solo mariachi singer, the band was more well-known than he was.

To demonstrate his independence, Ramon started the renowned band “Ramon Ayala y sus Bravos Del Norte” in late 1971. By the beginning of the following year, Ramon was developing and establishing himself thanks to his new vocalist Antonio Sauceda.

Ramon benefited from Antonio’s singing technique and vocal tone because they were similar to Cornelio’s. His playing style could thus adapt without difficulty.

After reaching the top of the Norte music charts for a second time, Ramon’s main singer quit. After regaining his religion, Antonio made the decision to enroll in a Christian seminary. Antonio Sauceda’s departure from Ramon Ayala turned out to be for the best because it compelled him to recruit a replacement lead singer.
