Career Koz started his radio broadcasting career at WMTH-FM. There is a high school radio station at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Koz gave Jerry G. Bishop, the original Svengoolie, material for the horror film program when he was still a student at Northwestern University. Then Bishop invited Koz to the performance.
After the show’s cancellation, Koz collaborated on commercials with radio legend Dick Orkin. Then, in June 1979, Koz made his television debut as Son of Svengoolie on WFLD-TV Channel 32, winning several regional Emmy awards.
