After leaving his position as a field producer at Global TV, he applied for a job with Logiquest, but he was underqualified, so he offered to work for them for free for six months in exchange for food and lodging. He was hired on and promoted till he was the company’s general manager of Logiquest in 1990.
After losing his job in 1990, he established BRAK Systems to serve as an integrator for internet security software. After ten years, he sold the business to AT&T for $30 million.
