How did Roberto Cavalli start his Professional Career?

In 1994, Cavalli unveiled the first pair of jeans with sandblasting. After building stores in Saint Barth, in the French Caribbean, the next year, he added stores in Venice and Saint-Tropez.

His main product line was distributed in more than 50 countries worldwide. RC Menswear was first released in 2000. In 2002, Cavalli opened his first café-store in Florence. He decorated it with his recognizable animal motifs.

Milan soon saw the opening of the Just Cavalli café at Torre Branca and another store on Via Della Spiga. In 1977, Roberto Cavalli participated as a judge in the Miss Universe pageant, where his future wife Eva Duringer competed.

In 2013, the Domus Academy in Milan awarded Cavalli an honorary master’s degree in fashion management.

The next year, he resumed his duties as creative director for men. In the same year, Gianluca Brozzetti and Carlo Di Biagio announced their departures from the fashion house. Cavalli inquired about selling a stake in his business to Investcorp, an investment firm situated in the Persian Gulf.
