Parents and grandparents of Tyler Lawrence, who were left heartbroken and devastated by his passing, came forward to express their gratitude to detectives, investigators, and everyone who helped them. Tyler Lawrence, a 13-year-old Norwood kid, was shot and killed in a Mattapan on January 29, 2023.

The distraught mother was surrounded by the entire neighborhood. “Tyler was special and extraordinary,” remarked a friend of the family, Dominga Martin. Stanley Lawrence, the grandpa of Tyler Lawrence, thanked everyone for coming to comfort them. Stanley said, holding back tears, “I thank you from the soles of my feet to the top of my head; I thank you.” The bereaved grandfather continued, “I could feel the love of people, and I knew Tyler could feel it, too.”

The seventh-grade student who was shot in Mattapan attended Coakley Middle School in Norwood. In addition to his teacher and classmates, he passed away. In the locker room, hallway, and classroom, they said he will be missed. “Tyler Lawrence was life and loved by so many people,” said Margo Fraczek, the principal of Coakley Middle School.
Additionally, the principal promised to stand behind them and the school no matter what. Addie Varon, a neighbor and friend, was shocked to hear of Lawrence’s passing. “He didn’t deserve to die the way he did,” he claimed. Varon added that he was curious as to why the murderer lacked the compassion to kill a 13-year-old youngster.
The Man Suspected in the Death of Tyler Lawrence Is 34-Year-Old Csean Skerritt, According to Police Csean Skerritt has been charged with Tyler Lawrence’s murder. Kevin Hayden, the district attorney for Suffolk County, claims that on February 6th, an arrest warrant for the man who was already in police custody was issued. He was apprehended on February 5 for distributing fentanyl.
In the upcoming days, Csean Skerritt is anticipated to face first-degree murder charges. Asserting that it wasn’t a random act, the attorney added, “we believe that the gunman, in this case, targeted the victim.” Tyler Lawrence’s mother, Remy Lawrence, issued a statement soon after Skerritt’s arrest.
She claimed that the family is “grateful and pleased that the District Attorney’s Office and Boston Police have begun the process of bringing their precious son to justice. The grieving mother also expressed gratitude to the elected official, detectives, and investigators for their perseverance, integrity, and support. She also thanked everyone who attended the memorial service for Tyler on February 5 at the Norwood Public School.
