Just after he was temporarily forbidden from dining at New York’s renowned Balthazar restaurant, Ryanair barred English actor James Corden from flying.
The company, known for its humorous social media posts, announced the ban on Twitter alongside a photo of Corden with a red “cancel” circle around his face.
Given that James Corden’s treatment of restaurant servers has been trending on Twitter, the restriction may be an attempt by the airline to capitalize on a trend.
This resulted in a plethora of humorous online memes, with some users supporting the ban. It also prompted similar responses from other brands.

The restaurant owner, Keith McNally, banned the British comedian owing to his aggressive behavior against the staff and servers. After Corden’s earnest apology, McNally eventually reversed his ban.
On the other hand, the Internet strongly supported the ban, stating that Corden was a “nightmare” who deserved it.
Reports involving The Late Late Show host’s relationships with other persons resurfaced shortly thereafter. One such story was the infamous one with James Corden, a woman, and a child.
On a flight from London to New York, passengers claim to have seen the Cats actor seated close to a woman with a baby. Corden, to their surprise, did not object to the child or display any signs of anxiety.
He put on his headphones and stayed silent. When the plane landed, Corden remained seated while the woman struggled with her luggage in the overhead compartment. After that, the woman stated to Corden:
“Can you, for the love of god, hold the baby while I bring down the bags?”
The woman turned out to be his wife, and he was the father of the child. Whether or not the story is true, it does not negate other allegations of his obnoxious behavior. Most individuals trust these stories because they appear to correspond with other observable events.
Although not gay himself, Corden has received criticism for playing LGBT characters. Users assert that he uses homophobic stereotypes and caricatures. He is also reviled for his anti-union stance, which the internet views as snobbish.
Other airlines joined Ryanair in banning James Corden
Corden, who has a net worth of about $70 million as of November 2022, is hardly likely to fly on a budget airline such as Ryanair. But, the Irish-owned company is infamous for making light of current events, and the ban may be a joke.
In the past, they have made jokes about Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating history, Boris Johnson’s Paygate scandal, and Eric Trump’s private plane use.
Whether or whether the airline was serious, it spurred other companies, even those unaffiliated with James Corden, to implement similar limitations. The Nebraska Humane Society, Riot Fest, and even Ba Sing Se from the Avatar anime series participated.
One user even restricted his access to “the general Yorkshire region.” Additional tweets about the situation have emerged, leading to memes and jokes.
As of the time of this writing, no Ryanair representative has commented on the matter. The comedian has yet to remark on the occurrence.
