Allegra Gucci is a female model. Early Years, Age, and Other Factors

Allegra Gucci, a celebrity child, was born on January 27, 1981 in Milan, Italy, and will be 46 years old in 2022. She is the younger daughter of Maurizio Gucci, the former head of the Gucci fashion brand, and his then-wife Patrizia Reggiani.

Her mother, Patrizia, raised her and her older sister, Alessandra Gucci, in the city of Milan. Her sister was born on June 28, 1976, five years before her.

Allegra rose to prominence before her birth as the daughter of a fashion magnate. Similarly, because of her family’s name, she spent her youth away from the spotlight.

Although her education and other information are unknown, her older sister Alessandra is said to have attended Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Allegra Gucci’s Family History

The young Gucci heiress is the granddaughter of actor Rodolfo Gucci and entrepreneur Sandra Ravel. Her grandfather was well-known for his roles in films such as Venus, Heartbeat, The Night of Tricks, and Don Pasquale, among others.

Rodolfo is the designer behind Gucci’s famed Flora scarf, which was initially designed for late actress Grace Kelly. Similarly, she is connected to former Gucci chairman Aldo Gucci as well as Vasco Gucci.

Allegra Gucci’s Grandfather Initially Disapproved of Her Parents’ Marriage-

Allegra’s parents, Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani, met in 1970 at a house party. They became romantically connected with one another and married on October 28, 1972.

After their marriage in Milan, Maurizio and Patrizia relocated to New York City. Despite the fact that everything appeared to be OK, Gucci’s father Rodolfo opposed their union, alleging that Reggiani was nothing more than a social climber looking for money.

P.S. Patrizia was born in Vignola, Province of Modena, Northern Italy, to a poor family.

Patrizia and Maurizio have two daughters, Alessandra and Allegra Gucci, from their marriage. A year after Allegra was born, the family of four returned to Milan.

Allegra’s father, Maurizio, abandoned her mother.

Gucci abruptly divorced his wife after a decade-long marriage in 1985. According to sources, he first informed Patrizia that he was going on a brief business trip to Florence. To her amazement, she was informed that Maurizio would not be returning and that their marriage was terminated.

Following that, the mother of two raised her daughter for the majority of their life on her own. Maurizio’s strained relationship with his then-wife was fueled further in 1990 when he began seeing Italian interior designer and former model Paola Franchi.

This relationship made Patrizia jealous and resentful of her children’s father. Furthermore, her malignant brain tumor operation had a significant influence in severing their link.

On October 14, 1994, the parents of two divorced in Italy, and she was awarded $1.47 million in annual alimony. They divorced on May 6, 1992, in Switzerland.

She continued to use the Gucci surname despite the fact that she was no longer permitted to do so by law.

Allegra’s mother, Patrizia, employed a hitman to assassinate her husband.

Allegra Gucci’s mother Reggiani hired a hitman to kill her ex-husband on his office stairs just a year after their divorce. Benedetto Ceraulo, hired by Patrizia and Giuseppina Auriemma nicknamed Pina, the sorceress, shot him four times.

Pina was a family associate of Maurizio’s who even ran a Gucci store in Naples. She later became close to Patrizia and finally plotted and assisted her in the murder of her ex-husband. Ceraulo, on the other hand, was a pizza owner who was deeply in debt at the time.

Allegra was 14 years old at the time of their father’s death, and Alessandra was just 18 years old. Gucci, then 14, was notified of her father’s murder by her own mother.

Not to mention, on the day of the murder, Patrizia scribbled a single word in her diary: “paradeisos,” a Greek word that translates to “paradise.”

Patrizia Reggiani was apprehended and sentenced to prison for the murder of her husband.

Reggiani was detained at her house just a few days after Gucci’s murder. She was accompanied by Giuseppina Auriemma, Ivano Savioni, Orazio Cicala, and Benedetto Ceraulo, all of whom had been detained in connection with Maurizio’s murder.

The trial drew widespread media attention, and on November 3, 1998, the Court of Assizes of Milan found all defendants guilty. Patrizia Reggiani was sentenced to 29 years in prison, Ceraulo to life in prison, and Giuseppina Auriemma to 25 years in prison for aiding and abetting.

On March 17, 2000, the Court of Assizes of Appeal reduced her sentence to 26 years. She only served an 18-year sentence and was released on the 20th of February 2017 due to her excellent behavior.

Not to mention, Reggiani attempted suicide in 2000 by hanging herself with a bed sheet. Fortunately, she was discovered by the guards and saved in time.

Her daughters visited her in prison every Wednesday and Friday for 18 years. According to Allegra’s Vanity Fair interview, the two sisters took turns visiting their mother with a box containing clothes, linens, meals cooked by their grandma Silvana, and other items.

Allegra and Alessandra inherited a large fortune from their father.

Following the death of the last Gucci owner, the majority of his money was distributed to his daughters, Allegra and Alessandra, who were just 14 and 18 years old at the time. The Gucci sisters are worth over $400 million together as of 2022.

Their multi-million dollar inheritance was undoubtedly the result of inheriting their father’s residual fortunes. In 1993, while Maurizio was still living, he sold all of his remaining Gucci stock to Investcorp for $170 million.

Gucci’s family relationship with the high-end luxury fashion company terminated with this transaction. The family is no longer involved with the brand as of 2022.

Why did Allegra Gucci decide to write her book after all these years?

Allegra’s primary motivation for writing Game Over this year was to set the record straight regarding her family. Ridley Scott’s biographical crime drama film Hosue of Gucci, released in 2021, revisited the Gucci family’s lifetime tragedy.

Maurizio is played by Adam Driver in the film, and Patrizia is played by none other than Lady Gaga.

Ridley portrays their father as a spoilt brat with money, but the Gucci sisters claim he was a diligent worker and a skilled businessman.

And when it comes to the book, Allegra says,

“I have two small children.” I didn’t want children to grow up without knowing the truth about their family after seeing the buzz created by the film House of Gucci.”

“I reconstructed the memories piece by piece, document by document,” she continued. Sometimes I felt pain, and other times I felt release.”
