Amanda was born in 1978 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and will be 46 years old in 2023. She grew up on a farm in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, which is northeast of Pittsburgh. Growing up, she had numerous memories of her farm because her family was involved in farming.
Sauer claims she had an interest in football early in life. She mentioned in one of her interviews that she remembers her father writing or sketching various football symbols on his chest (while playing with the kids). Amanda spent her childhood playing sports with her family and brothers, particularly football. Sauer played basketball, tennis, and lacrosse in high school.

Amanda is currently unmarried after divorcing her ex-wife Michelle. Cook was a teacher for Sauer’s daughter. As their feelings for each other grew stronger, they began to see each other. They both enjoyed football, and Michell was a part of the Pittsburgh Passion’s Women’s Football Alliance.
The couple intended to get married in June 2018. However, it is believed that the pair has divorced. Before that, she married Peter, whom she met in Pittsburgh before beginning junior college. Her ex-husband, Peter, played basketball for Stanford and led the team to the Final Four in 1998.
However, shortly after their 11th wedding anniversary, Peter died at the age of 35. According to reports, Peter died after collapsing during a recreational basketball game. Amanda is also a dedicated mother to her three beautiful children, Cassie, Charlotte, and Cate.
