Cataphant, a visual artist, stated, in response to the news, that Gawvi allegedly sent inappropriate photographs to women prior to his breakup with Azucena.

In response to the issue, Reach Records severed their professional relationship with the artist, and he was also withdrawn from the upcoming We Are Unashamed package tour.

According to the record label, Gawvi’s actions were “inconsistent” with the fundamental principles of the label. Despite the “difficult” decision, the company stated that the measure was “essential.” Additionally, Reach Records requested that their followers pray for the affected families and individuals.

The label’s other artists, including Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Trip Lee, Tedashii, 1K Phew, Wande, WHATUPRG, and Hulvey, will continue the We Are Unashamed tour through March and April without Gawvi.

An Analysis of Gawvi’s Separation and Ongoing Controversy

On January 30, 2022, Gawvi divorced his estranged wife Brianna Azucena. In a now-deleted Instagram post, the hip-hop artist announced that he will divorce his wife in 2020.

“For years, we did everything we could to make the relationship work, but after seeking the support of friends, family, and therapy, I made the incredibly difficult decision to proceed in a way that I believed to be healthy.”

In addition, the singer of Late Nights stated that there is “no controversy or hearsay” surrounding his divorce and that “two adults” came to a mutual decision.

The music producer stated that he and his ex-wife would continue to adore their two children and provide the best environment for their upbringing. Additionally, the artist requested that his followers respect his privacy and thanked them for their prayers and support during this difficult time.

Cataphant, a friend of Azucena and a visual artist, took to Twitter shortly after the announcement to accuse the Christian hip-hop star of inappropriate behavior. She claimed that the singer sent “unwanted” and indecent photographs to other women while he was still married to Azucena.

Cataphant continued by stating that her claims were not a “reaction without reflection.” She stated that the singer’s dubious behavior had been widely known for over a year because he was not adept at “covering his tracks.”

She claimed that everyone in Gawvi’s group repeatedly attempted to address him, but he refused to accept responsibility for his behavior. Cataphant characterized the artist as a “textbook narcissist” and a “liar.”

The designer also stated that she addressed the issue to defend her acquaintance [Azucena], who was “incorrectly depicted” in the divorce declaration.

Despite not addressing her ex-husband’s condition, Azucena apparently uploaded multiple TikTok videos about “infidelity, trauma, and recovery.”

His record label dropped him as a consequence of the allegations. In addition, he deleted the majority of his social media accounts and posts. At the time of writing, the singer had also declined to comment on the allegations.
