According to her family, Anndel Taylor, 22, of Charlotte, was returning from work in Buffalo when her car got stuck in the snow. This is according to ABC station WSOC-TV.
Tomeshia Brown, Taylor’s oldest sister, told CNN that at 3 p.m. on Friday, Taylor uploaded a video to a group chat with her sisters.
She captured the snowfall and total darkness on camera. Brown allegedly told her sisters in North Carolina that she was stranded and snow was falling when she spoke to them.
According to Brown and Taylor’s mother, Wanda Brown Steele, Taylor called 911 and was waiting for emergency personnel.
Her sister said, “Her intention was to wait until the police arrived, but if that didn’t work, she planned to stand up and walk after her car ran out of gas.” She added that if help did not show up, she planned to sleep and then try to walk home.
Taylor’s relatives claimed to have been in contact with her all day. According to Brown, Taylor separately phoned one of her sisters to let them know she was becoming anxious.
Early on Christmas Eve, she would post her final video message to the group chat.
When a woman informed Brown via Facebook that she had also found the car with her sister’s body, it was not until the following day that Taylor’s body was removed from it, according to Brown.
What Video Did Anndel Taylo Release Last? Explained
In the video, Taylor defrosts the driver-side windshield of her car while showing a road that the snow has turned into a desolate wasteland.
The warning lights are blinking on a van that appears to be stranded further down the road. In the group conversation, Taylor said that if she got out of her car, the snow would probably be up to her waist.
Her North Carolina family contacted and texted her later that morning, at 9 a.m. on Christmas Eve. We sent her a group text asking, “Are you OK?” As Brown said. The family was worried when Taylor did not respond.
“My sister traced her phone maybe two hours later,” Brown said. “She [Taylor] had to have told my sister where she was,” my sister said. It also showed that she remained outside.
The address was given to Taylor’s family in Buffalo, but when they arrived, they claimed to have seen Brown’s car but not her inside.
Brown said, “So I posted the details on a personal Facebook page called Buffalo Blizzard 2022 and begged for help.”
Later that evening, when she made the monitored phone’s position known, she received a call from an anonymous male. “He told us he checked her pulse and there was no pulse,” Brown said.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she cried. “My whole body felt like it was being seared from the inside out.” Brown Steele, Taylor’s mother, described herself as being in “shock.”
