How did Anthony Lynn start his Professional Career?
Anthony started playing football in school and college. He formerly played at Celina High School. He went on to play running back for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1988 to 1991. Unfortunately, his final year ended with a knee injury. Due to injury, he worked as a reserve running back for the Denver Broncos (1993, 1997-1999) and the San Francisco 49ers (1995-1996).
However, Anthony Lynn was a member of Denver’s two Super Bowl championship teams in 1997 and 1998. Unfortunately, he ended his playing career in 2000 due to recurrent neck stinger injuries. He retired and went on to work as an offensive assistant and special teams coach with the Denver Broncos.
He has coached football teams including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Chargers. Anthony Lynn is presently the offensive coordinator for Detroit’s football club. On January 23, 2021, Lynn was hired by the Detroit Lions.
