On Monday, September 5, 2022, Bravo debuted the first episode of its new series Real Girlfriends in Paris (RGiP), which starred six female friends from the United States living in Paris.

While the other five members of the gang are struggling to make ends meet so they can maintain their luxurious lifestyle, Anya Firestone has lived in Paris for ten years. Anya had an appearance in Real Girlfriends in Paris, Season 1 Episode 1 when she and her fiancé Matthieu Rasset lived together in a Paris flat.
In the first episode, Matthieu made his television debut, walking Anya and their dog Zsa Zsa through the streets of Paris while wearing a stylish dog jacket. He received a lot of screen time in the pilot, giving the impression that he would have a major role in the show.
Bio of Matthieu Rasset
The way Anya and Matthieu lived in the Real Girlfriends in Paris Season 1 premiere suggested that they had a comfortable lifestyle. Anya admitted throughout the broadcast that she offers tours of Paris’ historical and cultural attractions for 500 Euros and is a licensed tour guide.
On the other side, Matthieu is an expert in the luxury industry and a data scientist. His parents were physics and math instructors. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international business from the University of Le Havre and began his career in sales after developing an interest in watches and their mechanisms.
He spent seven years working in the jewelry, watchmaking, and luxury industries before deciding to pursue a career in data analytics. The Parisian native speaks French, English, Japanese, and Chinese with ease.
In his personal life, he is engaged to Anya Firestone from Real Girlfriends in Paris. They had been together ever since they met five years ago at Bar Hemingway in the Ritz Paris. Anya submitted a receipt from the bar where the two had their first encounter in 2017.
“When I went to Bar Hemingway by myself for a martini, I found a receipt dated August 13, 2017, Ritz, Paris, France: The same was felt by @matthieu rasset. That evening, we crossed paths and never parted. Cheers to four years together, my love!
They cohabit in a lovely apartment in the city. Before moving in together, they were in a long-distance relationship, thus before the epidemic, they were used to dating virtually.

Each cast member was introduced at the start of the show, which concluded with a private Thanksgiving dinner at Anya’s house. Along with Anya and Matthieu, the first episode of Real Girlfriends in Paris featured Kacey Margo, Emily Gorelik, Adja Toure, Margaux Lignel, and Victoria Zito. Jean Lignel, Margaux’s father, and Yoanne Mobengo, Victoria’s friend, both appeared in the premiere.
