After an incident involving drinking and driving, Heo Chan of VICTON has formally left the group. An official statement about his departure and what fans may expect from the K-pop group moving forward was also released by IST Entertainment.
After giving it some thought, the vocalist decided to permanently depart the group, IST Entertainment revealed on October 11. According to VICTON’s management, the vocalist made this decision to avoid upsetting the band or any of its members.
Last month, VICTON’s Heo Chan was found to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He immediately suspended all business operations and apologized in writing. Different K-pop fans and K-netizens have responded to the disclosure in different ways; some have praised his decision while others have held him responsible.

In its response, the agency acknowledged the group’s supporters. The agency also begged supporters for their patience and apologized for “causing sorrow” with the unexpected news. After the controversy last month, IST Entertainment declared that Heo Chan will be departing the band.
Seungwoo, Seungsik, Sejun, Hanse, Byungchan, and Soobin are the six members of the group that are currently participating in activities. Seungwoo is currently a member of the military, so the group will temporarily increase to five people.
They stated that the group is getting ready for their upcoming performance, the 2022 VICTON FAN CONCERT [CHRONICLE]. Since the members have been working hard to put on a fantastic concert for their fans, IST Entertainment has also asked for assistance from the audience.

VICTON fans took to social media as soon as word of Heo Chan’s resignation from the group spread to express their emotions and viewpoints. While there are differing opinions among fans as to whether it was the right thing to do, the majority of them have shared their feelings. A few fans have also expressed appreciation for the K-pop star’s decision to leave the group.
Many of his fans are reliving his best VICTON performances and moments, insisting that he will always be a member of the group. In September, the singer was detained for driving while intoxicated. He’s stopped all group and individual activities at this point. Additionally, he published a letter of apology in which he expressed regret for his actions.
