How to Ruin Christmas actress Busi Lurayi passed away on July 10 at the age of 35. The first person to tweet the news of her passing appears to have been a South African TV pundit and broadcaster named Phil Mphela.

Later, the South African news outlet reported that Lurayi passed away in her home in Johannesburg. In reaction to the allegations, her family released a statement through her talent agency, Eye Media Artists.

Busisiwe “Busi” Lurayi is most known for playing the title character in the two-season Netflix comedy series How to Ruin Christmas. She portrays one of the main characters in the show, Tumi Sello.

Additionally, the actor played Thandi Nguni in the ITV series Wild at Heart in 2007. Before beginning to perform in TV shows, Busi Lurayi had some stage experience and a few theater credits to her name.
