Fans are become even more divided over which side to support during Attack on Titan’s second half of its final season. While some continue to be steadfast supporters of Eren, others are still holding out hope that his friends may assist him to escape this downward spiral.

Fans disagreeing about particular characters is not ludicrous. Loyalty lines are being drawn in Attack on Titan’s final season, thus it makes sense that characters who were once universally beloved have suddenly aroused the ire of some fans.

Here are eight of the most adored Attack on Titan characters who are now despised.

Formerly adored, these eight Attack on Titan characters now get, at best, mediocre reviews.

1. Eren Yeager

It’s safe to assume that a sizable percentage of the fanbase disapproves of Eren’s present behavior. While some consider Eren’s use of genocidal intent to be over the top, others support him and claim that his actions were appropriate.

Fans of the show will concur that Eren has developed into somewhat of a villain.

2. Gabi Braun

Gabi wasn’t a “liked” character in the first few episodes, but she wasn’t a figure that everyone hated either. However, this immediately changed after Gabi murdered Sasha Braus, a popular favorite, in the first episodes of Attack on Titan season four.

I’ve read that the anime community doesn’t seem to care for Gabi’s character, even if the manga community still values her work as Eren’s excellent foil.

3. Arlert, Armin

Even if Armin doesn’t do anything to anger viewers in Attack on Titan season four, his lack of activity is worrying. Armin had a reputation for finding innovative solutions to even the most challenging problems in prior seasons.

The fourth season is anticipated.

Armin feels apathetic because of his feelings for Annie and his newfound identity with Bertholdt. As a result, some fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with this version.

4. Floch Forster

Floch wasn’t a favorite of all Attack on Titan fans, but some of them admired the character. Erwin’s voice of reason rang true with many fans, who also saw Erwin as essential to humanity’s survival when Levi was debating who to resuscitate.

Ironically, a lot of these supporters disapprove of Floch’s betrayal of Paradis and his conversion to the Yeagerists.

5. Annie Leonhart

While many Attack on Titan fans still finds Annie’s acts earlier in the series repulsive, some consider her to be a hero by the end of the story. She was never universally loved, although some in the community did admire her cool, quiet, and collected personality.

For many fans, learning that Annie was the female Titan was a turning point in how they saw the figure.

6. Grisha Yeager

Recently, especially in light of the most recent Attack on Titan episode, fans’ opinions about Grisha have changed. While justified and reasonable, his murder of the Reiss family turned off some of his supporters.

Fans are further alienated by Grisha as a result of this episode’s explanation of the Reisses’ murder, who succumbs to Eren’s demand to kill them.

7. Reiber Braun

Reiner has since earned the respect of many fans, yet it seems that some people still dislike the character. Many fans will find solace in Reiner’s mental conflict with what happened in Paradis and the crimes he committed.

Perhaps even more people love observing Reiner’s troubled expression as he struggles to accept his actions.

8. Berthold Hoover

Bertholdt doesn’t experience the same level of mercy for his crimes as Reiner does. Reiner and he never wavered in the pursuit of their objective in Paradis, with Bertholdt serving as the warrior of their pair.

Fans of Attack on Titan dislike him because he can’t maintain his sanity, but they respect Reiner because of his internal battle.
