Nashville, TN Transgender Shooter Shot By Police
Former Covenant School student Audrey Hale, 28, perpetrated the Nashville shooting. Hale identified as transgender and used he/him pronouns on LinkedIn, although it is unclear if it affected the shooting. She was shot and killed by police during the attack, but the tragedy should not be reduced to the shooter’s gender.
Hale fired six shots on the school’s first and second levels. Five police officers heard gunfire and fatally shot the man on the second story. Investigators found complete school maps with entrance points and monitoring. Writings on the incident were uncovered. Drake also said the gunman had a map of the attack.
Investigators revealed that the gunman may have contemplated targeting another Nashville location. After a threat assessment showed the location had too much protection, they abandoned the proposal. They have a notion about the shooting’s motive but haven’t revealed it. Police talked with Hale’s father and searched for her residence. Hale graduated from Nossi College of Art & Design in Nashville in 2020 and worked as a freelance graphic designer and part-time supermarket shopper, according to LinkedIn.
