Denzil Smyth

Hip-hop and R&B musician B. Smyth passed away on November 17 at the age of 28. On November 17, Smyth’s brother Denzil Smyth posted a notice of his passing on social media. He uploaded a video and wrote:

“I’m sorry to say that after a protracted battle with pulmonary fibrosis, my brother passed away this morning from respiratory failure.” While he was in the ICU, my brother was ecstatic to see so many of you create challenges for his most recent song, #Twerkoholic part 2. It made him very happy.

Denzil continued by expressing his gratitude for everyone’s affection and assistance on behalf of his brother and family. Finally, he stated:

“During these tough times, we want privacy.” Additionally, we want to thank you for all of your prayers. #RIPBSMYTH “Bro, I adore you!”

The reason for B. Smyth’s death was lung fibrosis, which his brother detected. Smyth was found to have been in the intensive care unit just before he passed away. It is unclear when he was initially diagnosed with the condition because his medical history is unknown.

In the lung disorder known as pulmonary fibrosis, tissues are harmed and scarred. As the illness worsens, breathing becomes more difficult due to the enlarged and stiff tissue that makes it difficult for the lungs to operate correctly.

Even though there is no cure for pulmonary fibrosis-related lung damage, medications and treatments may help with symptoms. Another option for treatment is a lung transplant.

Common signs and symptoms of the disorder include shortness of breath, a dry cough, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, sore muscles and joints, and expansion and rounding of the tips of the fingers and toes.

It may be brought on by prolonged exposure to toxins and pollutants such as silica dust, asbestos fibers, hard metal dust, grain dust, coal dust, and animal and bird droppings.

Age, smoking, occupations like farming, construction, mining, cancer treatments, and inherited factors can all make someone more susceptible to the disease.

Smyth had a successful music career.

B. Smyth, a musician who was born on March 12, 1994, started by uploading covers of different songs to YouTube.

His fashion sense has frequently been compared to that of Usher and Chris Brown. He signed a recording deal with Motown Records in 2012, and Leggo, his first single, was made available the following year. Smyth’s first EP, The Florida Files EP, was made available in October 2013.

Smyth left Motown Records and moved on to work at RCA Records and ByStorm Entertainment. His following track, “Creep,” was made available in December 2015.
