Barnwood Builders returns for another season, with Mark Bowe transforming the appearance of dilapidated cabins and barns. Magnolia Season 15 premieres on Thursday, February 23 at 9 p.m. ET.
The episode will be available on Fubo, Apple TV, and Discovery + one day after it airs on television. Mark Bowe will be featured in the first episode of Barnwood Builders, Legendary Log Houses, as he builds a custom log guest house in Dandridge, Tennessee, among the highlands of the Great Smoky Mountains.
The series description for Magnolia is as follows:
“In this series, Mark Bowe and his team of West Virginia-based carpenters recover old barns and cottages before the wood deteriorates. Their mission is to revitalize historic structures. Among its projects is the demolition of an ancient log house in West Virginia and its restoration and reconstruction for a Tennessee collector.”
In the program, Mark will also visit one of the country’s most iconic homes. Meanwhile, painter Johnny Jett will transform Gatlinburg’s sweet shop.

Mark Bowe, 53, is from Glasgow, West Virginia, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at West Virginia University while working as a coal miner. He then earned a master’s degree in safety management from the College of Commerce at West Virginia University. In Lewisburg, he lives with his wife Cindy and their son Atticus.
Mark is well-known for his work as a craftsman, historian, businessman, and Barnwood Builders host. He founded his own remodeling company, Antique Cabins & Barns, in 1995. Barnwood Living was eventually named after the organization, and it has altered the construction of 500 pioneer-era cottages.
He wishes to honor and preserve the “craft of America’s pioneer forefathers” for future generations. Fans can also hire him for motivational speeches through his official website. Bowe also owns an insurance company and has served on the city council in the past.
In an interview, Bowe told Greenbrier Valley that he wanted to change people’s perceptions of West Virginia:
“I’d like to challenge the term “hillbilly.” The network wouldn’t let us use it the first season, but after that, truck drivers would proudly identify themselves as hillbillies and deliver to us. The network eventually changed its mind. I believe it refers to close relationships with family and friends, a desire to work hard, and qualities such as endurance and courage.”
He enjoys kayaking, canoeing, fishing, camping, hatchet throwing, and tomahawking. His Ted Talk from 2013, The Front Porch, is now available on YouTube and has received over 17k views. His teammates include Johnny Jet, Sherman Thompson, Tim Rose, and Graham Ferguson.

Bowe describes his enthusiasm for his job as follows:
“If you’re not having fun with what you’re doing, try something else.”
