American swimmer Becca Meyers, also known as Becca Meyers professionally, competed in the Paralympic swimming competition.

In 2012, she competed for the Paralympic Team, where she won silver and bronze. She had previously been a club swimmer at Loyola Blakefield Aquatics for eleven years when she started swimming at the age of six in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2000.
In 2015 and 2017, she was also the recipient of the ESPY Award for Best Female Athlete with a Disability. She did so in a Paralympic Summer Games record time, taking home the gold. In 2009, Meyers also participated in the Summer Deaflympics in Taiwan.
Additionally, Becca left the Paralympics after her request for a personal care assistant on July 20, 2021, was turned down.

Career
For her first eleven years of club swimming, Becca was a member of Loyola Blakefield Aquatics. After that, she moved on to the North Baltimore Aquatic Club, where Michael Phelps trained in 2012.
She then changed clubs and began training with Katie Ledecky’s coach, Bruce Gemmell, at Nation’s Capital Swim Club in Bethesda, Maryland. She is the holder of multiple S13 and S12 world records.
The 34 Paralympic swimmers from the United States announced in June 2021 that they would compete at the postponed Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympics.
At the World Para Swimming Championships in Mexico City in 2017, she also earned one gold medal in the 400-meter freestyle, two silver medals in the 100-meter butterfly and freestyle, and one bronze medal in the 100-meter breaststroke.
She earned three medals in 2015 at the IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland: 200M Individual Medley, 400M Freestyle, and 100M Butterfly. At the 2013 IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal, Canada, she broke two world records in the S13 division for the 200-meter individual medley and 400-meter freestyle.
She also took home two gold medals for the 200-meter IM and 400-meter freestyle, two silver medals for the 100-meter butterfly and 100-meter freestyle.
Becca won four gold medals at the third World Deaf Swimming Championships in Coimbra, Portugal in 2011: 200 meters freestyle, 400 meters freestyle, 800 meters freestyle, and 4×200 meters freestyle relay.
She also set a world record in the 4×200 meters freestyle relay and a deaf world championship record in the 800 meters freestyle. In the 2009 Deaflympics in Taipei, Taiwan, she won a bronze medal in the 4×200 meters freestyle
