The passing of Ellen Clifford, the mother of international footballers Paudie and David Clifford, has left the whole KERRY GAA community in sadness. Ellen was a member of the Fossa club in County Kerry and well-known across the Kerry GAA community and beyond. She was a kind lady who stood by her kid through the good times and the bad.
Mrs. Clifford O’Shea and her family went to Croke Park to see Kerry win its 38th All-Ireland game in July of last year. She also saw the All-Ireland Club Junior Soccer Championship match between Fossa and Stewartstown Harps’ victory.
Eileen is survived by her devoted husband Dermot Clifford, her devoted daughter, and her beloved son Shelly. The whole Kerry GAA organization is stunned and devastated by her passing, as are her loved ones.
