Ben Feldman tried online dating after much persuasion from his mother-in-law.
The actor recalled the incident in a 2014 interview with Glamour.
He revealed that his stepmother insisted on calling “so-and-daughter so’s [who was] moving to Los Angeles.”
But the actor thought it was “creepy” to do so and instead emailed her after his stepmother told him the girl would be perfect for him.
Feldman eventually fell in love with the woman who would become his wife, Michelle Mulitz.
When asked how he knew Mulitz was the one, the actor admitted that he knew she was the one pretty early on.
Feldman iterated as someone skeptical of marriage for seven years, and it took him a long time to accept the idea of living with some for the rest of his life.
“My parents did an excellent job instilling skepticism in me.” They divorced—my mother has been divorced three times. “I always thought it was this archaic thing,” the actor explained.
But he eventually forgot that he thought marriage was ridiculous and decided to marry.
Ben Feldman Weds His Wife
The actor proposed to his wife in December 2012.
His representatives confirmed to Us Weekly that the Mad Men star proposed on December 15 in a “planned to appear spontaneous” proposal.
The actor proposed to the couple while they were walking their dog.
According to a source, “they were the best couple, a very normal fun pair.” Everyone is overjoyed for them.”
Almost a year later, the actor married his then-girlfriend, Mulitz.
The couple married at Smokey Farm in Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The actor told Us Weekly that he and Mulitz were thrilled to spend their special day in DC with their closest friends and family.
“No thunderstorms, police chases, government shutdowns, or self-immolations were going to stop us from having the best party of our lives,” Feldman said.
350 people attended the ceremony, including CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer and his wife Lynn Greenfield, as well as Tony Award winner Patina Miller from Broadway’s Pippin.

The couple became parents for the first time after four years.
Charlie Milton Feldman, their baby boy, was born on October 24, 2014, in Los Angeles.
The new parents revealed to People that their son enjoyed sleeping all day and partying all night.
The A to Z star explained that Milton was his wife’s grandfather, and Charlie was a really cute name.
In May of this year, the couple welcomed their second child.
Feldman had announced that the new member of the family would be arriving soon, a few months before the birth, when they were voting in the elections.
Following that, he opened up to Us Weekly about his feelings about fatherhood.
“So far, it’s been a pleasant experience.” “I’m a pretty happy guy, and he’s a really happy kid,” he told the outlet. “I’m loud, goofy, exhausted, and often frustrated, but, you know, mostly, I’m a pretty happy guy, and he’s a really happy kid.”
