She was born into the family of Sara and Saul Alpern, who are no longer with her. Her mother went away in 1996, and her father, an accountant, died in 1999.
Madoff had a wonderful rapport with each of them. She was reared alongside her sister Joan Roman, and both of them came from devout Jewish households.
Ruth Madoff, just eighteen, and Bernie Madoff met in high school and exchanged vows when they were married quite young.
They dated for a long period before getting married in 1959. For many of them, they were a very inspiring pair.

Ruth, his mother, remained at his side nonstop while he was fighting cancer in the hospital. Additionally, Andrew is a father of two kids.
Ruth was grieving; she had lost both of her children, and her husband had been sentenced to life in jail. In addition, he passed away in 2021 at the age of 82 from chronic renal disease, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, and hypertension.
