Bill Ferrario was a former offensive lineman with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League.
Ferrario was a second-team All-Big Ten pick at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played guard. He aided Michael Bennett and Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne in their early careers.
He was only the third player in Big Ten history to start all 50 games of his career. He also played for the Wisconsin Badgers.
In 1999 and 2000, he helped Wisconsin become the only Big Ten team to win consecutive Rose Bowl Championships.
In that year’s draft, the Wausau resident, then 44, was chosen by the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Packers, Redskins, and Panthers before retiring in 2005.
Ferrario was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round (201st overall) of the 2001 NFL Draft.
During his time with the Packers in 2002, he appeared in all 16 games.
Ferrario was released by Green Bay on September 5, 2004 after being waived in 2003. He signed with the Washington Redskins on February 4, 2004.
He signed with the Carolina Panthers on November 11, 2004, although he did not play in any games that season. Farrario was released by the Panthers on August 28, 2005.

A former Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers player has been charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct.
Bill Ferrario was arrested at his Wausau home on Tuesday. When police came, Ferrario was alleged to be inebriated and yelling.
Police had been called twice in a succession for similar complaints. That evening, Ferrario was taken to a motel. He got home around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bill Ferrario, a former Green Bay Packer, pleaded not guilty to his second allegation of disorderly conduct and operating while intoxicated.
Someone contacted Wausau Police to Ferrario’s house on Tuesday to report that he was intoxicated and screaming.
When the cops arrived, he was yelling and throwing things in his garage. Two of the house’s residents revealed their fear of Ferrario. He was then charged with disorderly behavior.
On Wednesday, he was additionally charged with driving under the influence for the second time. That charge was based on an incident that occurred during a fall.
According to his criminal complaint, police were summoned to a single-vehicle incident on County Highway X at State Highway 52 on October 12 in the town of Wausau.
According to police, Ferrario was the only occupant when his pickup truck and utility trailer missed a bend, ran into the ditch, and became trapped in some trees.
According to court records, Ferrario claimed to have ingested alcohol prior to the crash. “From 4:30 a.m. until now,” he was quoted as saying, “a bottle of vodka ranging from half to a third of a liter.” That crash occurred at 11:45 a.m.
A preliminary breath test result of.222 was obtained, which is almost three times the legal limit.
Bill Ferrario, a former Packer, is now in jail or prison.
Ferrario was booked into the Marathon County Jail on January 3. He was previously released after paying his $1,500 signature bond.
A clerical court appearance has been scheduled for February 8th. Bill, on the other hand, may not be sentenced to prison right now.
We may deduce that the former Packer is not now incarcerated because he was released on bond. We’ll find out what happens to him after that on February 8.
Ferrario presently works as a salesperson. He also attends summer football camps and works with local athletes to help them improve their fundamentals and talents.
