Hemmer dated a Canadian model named Dara Tomanovich for a very long time. When they were spotted together at Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York City in 2005, they decided to start dating.

They kept their relationship fairly discreet, only sometimes making public appearances together. In December 2009, Hemmer and his fiancée went to Rouge Tomate in New York City for a reception for Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s book.

In 2013, they made their most recent public appearance by attending a gala in Berlin’s City Center. The couple reportedly parted ways in 2013. A year after their divorce, Tomanovich made headlines when she wrecked her Porsche in Manhattan. She was apprehended for driving while intoxicated and released without posting a bond.

His marital status and any gay rumors

Since divorcing Tomanovich, Hemmer has maintained his privacy regarding his personal life. He has never been sexually involved with a woman, unlike his ex-girlfriend who is currently dating again.

His social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram all lack any evidence of his romantic life. The only things stated in the stories are his job and career.

Due to Hemmer’s privacy, speculation about his sexual orientation has suddenly surfaced. However, it is incorrect to judge someone’s disposition based purely on his approachability. In any event, his now-discontinued relationship serves to refute the charges.

How He Got Into Journalism

Hemmer, who was born on November 14, 1964, was the middle child of five kids and grew up in Ohio. William R. Hemmer and Georganne M. Knittle, his parents, put a lot of effort into his education.

While serving as an executive for a company that made mattresses, his father was in charge of the family. Hemmer attended the Catholic parochial school Our Lady of Victory for his education.

After that, he registered at Elder High School. He and a friend started a 15-minute radio show for the institution during his final year. That little move made him fall in love with broadcasting.

He studied broadcast journalism at Miami University to earn his bachelor’s degree as a result, and he continued his studies in Europe through a fraternity program.

Fox News Career of Hemmer

Hemmer joined WLWT-TV as a sports producer in the middle of the 1980s, marking the start of his professional journalism career. Soon after, he started working for the CBS-affiliated network WCPO-TV as a weekend sports anchor.

Bill Hemmer resigned from all of his jobs when he was 26 and set out on an extended backpacking adventure across China, Vietnam, Nepal, India, and Eastern Europe. He spent two weeks in Calcutta, India, working at Mother Teresa’s children’s hospital.

He authored an essay titled Bill’s Excellent Adventure after chronicling his trips in news articles and other publications. The native of Ohio also discussed his travel adventures with CBS.

After finishing his trip, Hemmer joined CNN in 1995. He hosted numerous programs for CNN throughout his 10 years there, including CNN Tonight, CNN Morning News, and American Morning with Paula Zahn. He has covered significant events, including the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Park bombing in 1996, for which he won an Emmy.

Hemmer left CNN in 2005 to join Fox News’ America’s Newsroom as a founding co-anchor. In 2020, he left the show and started hosting the afternoon broadcast of Bill Hemmer Reports.

He covered important events and breaking news as a key anchor. He will be back in 2021 to co-host America’s Newsroom alongside Dana Perino. He presently earns $3 million a year and is worth $9 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
