After the half-season, he went back to Hemofarm and played with Stefan Markovic and Milan Macvan (who played for the Serbian junior national team). In 2010, Boban agreed to a three-year contract with CSKA Moscow under the pressure of Dusko Vujosevic.
Later in his career, he moved on loan from CSKA to Zalgiris from 2010 to 2011. Later, he spent a half-season on loan with Nizhny Novgorod before coming back to Radnicki for the 2011–2012 season. Likewise, he committed to Mega Vizura for the 2012–2013 campaign and was honored as the Serbian League’s MVP.
On July 2, 2013, he also agreed to a two-year contract with Crvena Zvezda. He received the EuroLeague MVP of the Round For Round 10 award in December 2013. Along with his colleague DeMarcus Nelson, he was also chosen for the 2013–2014 ABA League Ideal Team.
His professional basketball career began in the 2014–2015 Euro League, as he helped his team defeat Galatasaray 76–68 while tallying 22 points and 10 rebounds in just 28 minutes. In a 103-110 loss against Galatasaray, he ended with 23 points and 17 rebounds, which was his biggest rebound total ever.
