Turnstile announced the split via an Instagram story on Friday, August 12, writing, “Turnstile and guitarist Brady Ebert have split up.” We are grateful for the time we spent together. Our love for him endures, and we wish him only the best in the future.”
Ebert has not commented on his resignation from the organization. There is no additional information available at this time. Turnstile made headlines ahead of their autumn US tour with Snail Mail and JPEGMAFIA. Certain media outlets reported on August 4 that Turnstile’s percussionist Daniel Fang had requested a peace order against Ebert. Given this, many speculate that Ebert’s departure was related to the order.
A hearing for Fang’s peace order against Brady Ebert was held on August 11

A peace order is issued when someone is accused of abusing, stalking, harassing, or destroying someone else’s property. Two hearings on Fang’s peace order were held this month. If the injunction is granted, Ebert will be prohibited from contacting, abusing, or approaching Fang.
However, the order was revoked. Lambgoat cited a final hearing in the District Court of Maryland on August 11, at which it was apparently declared that there was no statutory basis for relief. According to the ruling, there is insufficient evidence to carry out the order, and it is therefore illegal.
Brady Ebert is a co-founder of Turnstile, which was established in 2010
Turnstile was founded in 2010 by Brady Ebert and singer Brendan Yates. Following that, the band added bassist and singer Franz Lyons, drummer Daniel Fang, and guitarist Sean Cullen. Pat McCrory took over when Cullen left in 2015. Ebert contributed to all three of the band’s studio albums: Nonstop Feeling (2016), Time and Space (2018), and Glow On (2021).
The band’s sixth EP, Turnstile Love Connection, was released in June 2021. Yates also directed and distributed a short film of the same name. Turnstile’s most recent album, Glow On, was released in August 2021. Glow On is the band’s first record to feature a featured artist, Blood Orange, a British singer/songwriter, and producer.
