A family from New Jersey is searching across state lines for their missing son after Brandon Gomes went missing.
The 24-year-old Summit, New Jersey resident Brandon Gomes has not been seen or heard from since October 1, 2023.
Law officials from both states are collaborating to find him because of concerns about his safety.

In 2023, the disappearance of 24-year-old Brandon Gomes is still under investigation and cause for alarm.
On October 1, 2023, Brandon, a resident of Summit, New Jersey, vanished under mysterious circumstances that had his family and the authorities very concerned.
He drove his mother’s 2006 grey Honda Civic out of his Summit, New Jersey, home. More disturbingly, he texted a pal a message saying he was going to commit himself to the outdoors.
Since then, the investigation has progressed over state borders, with Sandoval County, New Mexico, being identified as Brandon’s final known whereabouts.
Given the gravity of the incident, the Summit Police Department is now receiving active assistance from the Albuquerque Police Department and a sheriff’s department in New Mexico for the investigation.
Concerns over Brandon’s safety have been raised by the Albuquerque Police, who speculate that he could be at risk of hurting himself.
Brandon was last seen in Albuquerque at a Holiday Inn on 12th Street NW. On October 6, he left the car he had driven from New Jersey when he checked out of the motel.
The authorities are making great efforts to get security video from the hotel to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to his departure.
Further obscuring his location, as of October 6, Brandon’s phone was tracked to San Ysidro, which is roughly 43 miles north of the Holiday Inn in Albuquerque.
The Gomes family is making every effort to help in the hunt for their loved one who has gone missing.
They have employed private detectives, distributed fliers, and even used aerial surveillance as part of their operations. Above everything, they want to make sure Brandon is secure and well. They are committed to finding the answers.

There is still optimism that Brandon Gomes will be found safe and reunited with his family as the hunt for him continues. He hasn’t been located yet.

To further complicate matters, Brandon Gomes’s last known location was found to be San Ysidro, which is around 43 miles north of the Holiday Inn in Albuquerque.
Communities, law enforcement, and Brandon’s family are working together to uncover answers and, most importantly, to make sure he is safe and okay.
With a bright future ahead of him as a scholar in physics and mathematics at Rutgers University and alumnus of Summit High School, Brandon’s absence is all the more concerning.
With the ultimate objective of getting him back to safety, the community’s combined effort is a monument to their resilience and solidarity in the face of hardship.
