After purchasing a gallon of milk from a corner shop, Brexialee Torres was murdered while walking home and passed away at Upstate University Hospital.
An 11-year-old boy was killed in a drive-by shooting on January 16 in the evening, according to Syracuse Police Chief Cecile.
According to Chief Cecile, Brexialee Torres-Ortiz was wounded in the stomach as she was returning home with a gallon of milk for her family from a nearby corner shop.
Torres-Ortiz was taken to Upstate Hospital and later pronounced dead, according to Syracuse Police.

On Monday at 7:43 p.m., when Brexialee was returning home along Oakwood Avenue, someone fired a gun, wounding her in the abdomen. In the Upstate University Hospital, she died away.
At Blodgett Middle School, she presided over her class as class president. Cecile said he discussed Brexialee’s identity with the principal of Blodgett Middle School and an office manager at a news conference on Tuesday.
He referred to her as the “hall monitor” of her class since she was always encouraging her classmates.
Mayor Ben Walsh said, “We lost a wonderful little lady last night. On Monday night, Walsh referred to her murder as horrifying and senseless.

To get milk for her family, she walks down the street. Walsh said, “She didn’t do anything wrong.” “And now that she’s gone.”
The police chief appeals to residents to come forward with any information that might help in identifying the perpetrators of this crime and holding them responsible.
The 11-year-old girl’s status as a student was confirmed by the Syracuse City School District to NewsChannel 9.
Although Chief Cecile asserts that police have extensive surveillance footage from the area, there is no suspect.

During the press conference, Cecile provided new details on the investigation. He said that there is no connection between Brexialee and Israel Cruz, a 19-year-old who was shot in the leg.
He established that Brexialee resided a short distance from the supermarket where she made her gallon of milk purchase. The distance between the milk container and the company was just 250 feet.
He said that the car had a large number of occupants when it arrived, and at least one of them fired a gun. The police have not yet provided any details on the suspects or the suspect automobile. Police were able to locate a suspicious car thanks to surveillance video.
