Nicole Ansari, an actress, has been Brian Cox’s longtime wife since 2002. He is best known for playing Logan Roy in the HBO series Succession. Orson Jonathan Cox and Torin Kamran Cox are his two sons from her.

The actor has two older children with Caroline Burt, with whom he was previously married. They go by the names Margaret and Alan Cox.
When Brian Cox was young
The actor’s first marriage occurred when he was 24 years old, which he believes to be “much too young” to get married. However, he explained why he married Burt despite knowing he was too young in his book Putting the Rabbit in the Hat, which was published in October 2021.
He made it clear that he was seeking stability and “normalcy” in his life after having a difficult upbringing. To make a long story short, he witnessed his mother’s hospitalization after a mental breakdown and his father’s death when he was eight years old.
After everything I’d been through, I yearned for the stability of a home and a family, Cox said, adding that “I wasn’t one of those middle-class actor types who took drugs and let it all hang out.”
The Scottish actor and Burt got separated after 18 years of marriage and the birth of two children. In his book, he also mentioned how his previous marriage struggled since he spent so much time away from home due to his career.
Cox and his wife Ansari are satisfied with their current union. Due to their 23-year age gap, the couple has encountered intolerance and harassment online. As of this writing, the actor, who was born in June 1946, is 75 years old, and his wife of 53 years, who is the daughter of a German mother and an Iranian father.
On the other side, the couple’s age difference does not appear to be a problem. While Cox is perpetually busy, Ansari is considered to have an old soul that is wise and generally at rest.
The award-winning actor also covered the issue in the book mentioned earlier. He initially claimed that he married a young woman in his fifties because he was “better prepared” for raising children.
“I’ve made an effort to atone for all that has happened in the past with our two youngsters. These days, my career does not always come first. Perhaps the second time I was better prepared.
Then Cox intimated that since “Love is love” and Ansari was (and still is) his life’s love, it didn’t matter how old the relationship was. In 1990, Cox and Ansari first met in Hamburg and have been dating ever since. At the moment, the actor was portraying King Lear’s title character.
They started dating in 1998, and a year later she moved to London to be with him. The rest, as they say, is history.
