The spouse of Republican Party of Florida Chairman Christian Ziegler, Bridget Ziegler, resigned from her position at the Leadership Institute, according to those who talked with Florida’s Voice.
Rumors about Bridget Ziegler’s girlfriend are unfounded since she is wed to her husband. Not that she’s a lesbian.
The Republican Party of Florida chairperson and her husband, Christian Ziegler, are being investigated by law enforcement for alleged sexual assault.
According to a search warrant document, his accuser informed the Sarasota Police Department that she had consensual sexual contact with Mr. and Ms. Ziegler more than a year ago. Both Zieglers verified this information to detectives.
The Leadership Institute is a conservative think tank located in Washington, D.C.
On the staff website of the Leadership Institute, Bridget Ziegler was last officially listed as the vice president of the School Board Leadership Programs in September. However, Florida’s Voice has also verified that her name has been deleted.
The organization’s website states that as of Wednesday, Kelly Crawford is the acting director.
Even though Christian Ziegler is the focus of a sexual assault investigation, his attorney is hopeful that the chairman will be acquitted.
The Sarasota Police Department initiated an investigation into Ziegler about a highly redacted report that included unredacted terms like “sexual assault complaint” and “raped.”

She rose to prominence as a co-founder of Moms for Liberty, an organization that defends parental rights, and she now serves on the Sarasota County School Board.
In a statement, Derek Byrd, Ziegler’s attorney, said that the chairman has complied “fully” with all demands made by the Sarasota Police Department during the investigation.
Moms for Liberty also stated in reaction to the situation since Bridget Ziegler was involved in the organization’s founding.
In January 2021, over three years ago, Bridget Ziegler left her role as co-founder of Moms for Liberty after only one month of the organization’s founding.
She has persevered in becoming a ferocious national parental rights advocate.
Based on the investigation’s findings, the Florida Democratic Party has accused the Republican Party of Florida of hypocritically endorsing “family values.”
As well-known figures in Moms for Liberty and the Florida GOP, the Zieglers have made it their habit to attack everything they perceive to be against “family values,” including reproductive rights and the presence of LGBTQ+ Floridians.
The Florida Democratic Party released a statement claiming that the level of hypocrisy in this situation is incredible.
