The death of actress and singer Brittany Murphy shook the globe when it was announced on the internet. Murphy died in 2009, just before Christmas, at the age of 32.
Brittany was discovered slumped on the bathroom floor of her house in December 2009.
She shared an apartment with her husband, Simon, and her mother, Sharon. Murphy was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. At 10 a.m., she was pronounced dead.

Murphy was born on November 10, 1977, to Father Angelo Bertolotti and Mother Sharon Murphy.
Angelo Bertolotti was of Italian ancestry, while her mother was half-Irish and half-Slovakian. Her parents divorced when she was just two years old.
Murphy was reared in Edison, New Jersey, by her mother, along with two older brothers and a younger sister.
Prior to her marriage to Simon Monjack Murphy proposed to Joe Macaluso in 2005, and they married in May 2007. The engagement, however, terminated in 2006.
Murphy was also romantically involved with actor Ashton Kutcher and talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz.
