Kohberger previously attended DeSales University as both an undergraduate and graduate student, according to a statement on the university’s website. The DeSales University in Pennsylvania is a Catholic university, according to its official Facebook page.
2020 saw the completion of his undergraduate studies, and early this year, according to a university representative, he completed his “graduate studies for the master of arts in criminal justice program.”
Bryan Kohberger, a DeSales University student researcher, requested participation in a study “to investigate how emotions and psychological features influence decision-making when committing a crime” in a post that was removed from Reddit after the arrest became public.
The now-deleted Reddit article explained that “this study tries to uncover the story behind your most recent criminal offense, with an emphasis on your thoughts and feelings throughout your experience.”
A professor from DeSales University who was one of the study’s principal investigators declined to comment when CNN reached them. The college is still required to comment.
According to a representative who spoke with CNN, Kohberger attended Northampton Community College and graduated with an Associate of Arts in Psychology in 2018.

The suspect, who was caught in connection with the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students in November, went to a nearby school and resided not far from the crime scene.
Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, was apprehended in Monroe County, Pennsylvania on Friday as a result of an active arrest warrant for first-degree murder issued by the Moscow, Idaho, Police Department and the Latah County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the criminal complaint.
The four victims—Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Kernodle’s boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, 20,—were all stabbed repeatedly in the early hours of November 13 at a residence outside of the small college town of Moscow.
According to the statement, police from the University’s Pullman campus assisted law enforcement in executing search warrants at his residence and place of employment.
An earlier CNN report showed police officers in front of a Pullman, Washington, graduate student apartment that the authorities alleged was linked to Kohberger.
The trip by car from Pullman to Moscow, the scene of the murders, takes around 15 minutes. The suspect is currently in police custody.
Sadly, no additional information regarding the case was discovered because the Police are still looking into it and have kept some details secret for official purposes.
