Sam Abueva, Calvin’s wife, accused him of domestic abuse. She claimed that in the past, she had experienced sexual approaches and assault. Filipino basketball player Calvin Abueva currently plays for the Philippine Basketball Association’s Magnolia Hotshots (PBA). From 2012 to 2018, Abueva was a member of the Alaska Aces.
From 2018 to 2020, he was a member of the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters. In 2021, he joined the Magnolia Hotshots. In addition, he has won other awards throughout his career, including the PBA Championship in 2013 and the PBA Best Player of the Conference title twice.

Calvin Abueva’s Wife Accuses Him of Abuse
Calvin Abueva’s spouse accuses him of mistreatment. 2019 saw Calvin Abueva expelled from the PBA due to serious abuse claims brought by his wife. In a live broadcast on Calvin’s Instagram, Sam Abueva supported her allegations with screenshots purportedly taken from CCTV footage.
Sam, who was 32 weeks along, expressed concern for the pregnancy due to Calvin’s actions. She related incidents where Calvin, drunk, pressed his weight against her abdomen, causing her to get hospitalized for spotting.
She also talked about a previous time she had rebuffed Calvin’s advances since she was bleeding and worried about miscarrying. These accusations came to light after Sam, one of their kids, saw what Calvin was doing. In a similar vein, she remembered her child waking up in a panic, scared of their father’s actions, and coming to her for comfort.
Sam also charged Calvin with adultery, saying he had multiple extramarital affairs that produced children. In response, Calvin claimed on a new Instagram account that all of the accusations were untrue. He added that he and Sam were already no longer together. Calvin seems nonchalant despite the gravity of the accusations, even making fun of Sam and doubting her enjoyment of a Boracay holiday without him.
