Carlos Mencia, real name Ned Arnel Mencia, was born on October 22, 1967, in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the son of a Mexican mother and a Honduran father. Carlos Mencia was the seventeenth of eighteen children born to Magdalena Mencia, who refused to give her son the last name of his biological father, Roberto Holness, due to a personal dispute she had with him.
