Although medical personnel onstage initially assessed the guitarist’s condition as “serious medical,” he appeared to recover rapidly. Fans were happy to see him waving at them as he was taken offstage and transported to the nearest hospital.
Santana has already undergone heart surgery in 2021, interrupting his December Las Vegas residency. According to the artist’s representative, Michael Vrionis, Santana fainted owing to dehydration and exhaustion from his demanding schedule, but was “doing fine” after being assessed at McLaren Clarkston Hospital’s emergency room.

Santana is now touring with Earth, Wind, and Fire as part of his Miraculous Supernatural 2022 tour. The journey began on June 17 and will last through the end of August.
During a performance of Joy at Pine Knob Music Theatre, the guitarist fainted. Santana will resume his residency at the House of Blues in Las Vegas after the tour concludes.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Carlos Augusto Santana Alves rose to notoriety as a member of the Santana Blues Band. Since its formation in 1966, Santana has had numerous lineup changes, with only Carlos remaining consistent.
Supernatural, the band’s eighteenth studio album, catapulted them to popularity. In 2000, the band established a new record by winning six Grammy Awards in a single evening.
Santana’s music consisted of his poetic, blues-based lines mixed with Latin American and African rhythms played on percussion instruments that are rarely used in rock.
Carlos’s fame increased in the late 1990s. He earned No. 20 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 best guitarists in 2015. In addition to receiving ten Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards, he was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his band in 1998.
