Carlos Woods- Relationship, Married Life

Carlos met his now-wife Lauren Lake, the author of Girl! Let Me Tell You while working for the Indianapolis Colts. After dating for less than a year, the adorable couple tied the knot in 2007. Carlos and Lauren had their first and only child, Carlos Jr., a son, in 2010. Carlos even took a year off from football to care for his newborn son in 2011.

After all these years, it appears that the year Carlos took off from his career to care for his child was not in vain, as Carlos Jr. has turned out to be a fantastic child actor. In 2018, Carlos’s son also earned a black belt. His wife took to Instagram to share her son’s incredible accomplishment.

Woods joined the Hornets immediately after enrolling at Delaware State in 1999. Woods played three seasons and had his best season in 2000 when he helped his team to a 7-4 record with 35 tackles.

Carlos worked as an assistant coach at Landstown High School after graduating from DSU. During his three-year tenure, the school maintained an overall record of 40-2. Carlos enrolled in the master’s program at Penn State University in 2005. Lauren’s husband was a member of the Nittany Lion Football team’s defensive line while attending Penn State.

Carlos applied for and was granted a paid internship with the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts after completing his master’s degree. The Virginia native spent nearly three years with the Indianapolis Colts as a defensive assistant, administrative staffer, and scouting assistant.

After the Indianapolis Colts restructured their coaching staff in 2009, the Virginia native was hired by the Cincinnati Bengals. During his time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Carlos assisted the linebackers and prepared and delivered PowerPoint presentations.

The football coach was forced to leave the Cincinnati Bengals due to the NFL lockout in 2011. Following that, the DSU graduate took almost a year off from football to care for his son, Carlos Jr., and run a sports training business in New York.

Carlos was the head football coach at Los Angeles Pierce College in 2019. He was even accused of charging players up to $400 per night to live in an off-campus apartment. Carlos was later placed on administrative leave until the investigation was completed.
