Born on March 19, 1953, Carlton D’Metrius Pearson was a well-known American pastor and gospel musician whose profound spiritual and artistic journeys made a lasting impression. Originally from San Diego, California, Pearson’s spiritual journey began at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, where he studied and developed a close relationship with the well-known Oral Roberts.

Engaged in the gospel music scene, Pearson sang with the World Action Singers while attending college, demonstrating both his ability and his dedication to his faith which would be evident in all of his future undertakings. To further establish his standing in the evangelical society, Pearson maintained his affiliation with the Oral Roberts Evangelistic Association after leaving Oral Roberts University. There, he worked as an associate evangelist.

With audacity, Pearson established the Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center in 1981; the organization was subsequently renamed the Higher Dimensions Family Church. Situated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the church expanded rapidly to become one of the most populous in the area, with an average attendance of more than 6,000 in the 1990s. Julian D’Metrius Pearson, their son, is the founder and chief executive officer of JKrown Films and has opted for a more sedate existence. However, Majeste Amour Pearson, their daughter, showed an early interest in music, starting classical piano lessons at the age of four and eventually exploring musical theater.
