Carmen Ejogo was born on October 22, 1973, in Kensington, London. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Carles Ejogo, and she is of English ancestry and mixed nationality. She attended Glendower Private Academy after receiving tutoring from Speech Roman Catholic Elementary School. At the time, she was a teacher at Godolphin and Latymer Schools.
