She married Michael Murdock when she was extremely young and shortly became pregnant. She said that she never loved him and that she only married him because her parents were unhappy with the couple’s live-in arrangement. Baskin alleges that she met Don Lewis as a result of a Murdock attack. Carole and Don Lewis had an affair while still married to each other. In 1991, they divorced their partners and married each other. Later on, neither of them got along very well. Don Lewis requested a divorce, but Baskin dismissed the request.
