Greek student Caroline Crouch, who was born on July 12th, 2001, sadly died on May 11, 2021, in her home in the Athens district of Glyka Nera.
37 days later, when being questioned by the police, her husband Babis Anagnostopoulos admitted to the crime.

Before enrolling in the University of Piraeus, Caroline Crouch attended a private school in Greece where she was born and nurtured.
Babis Anagnostopoulos smothered Crouch, a 20-year-old British mother, at their house in a posh Athens neighborhood in May 2021.
Just a few months before to her passing, she gave birth to a baby girl, making her a new mother.
Babis received a life sentence in prison for killing his wife in front of their young daughter. To cover up the crime, he also killed Caroline’s dog before conducting a phony break-in.
Caroline Crouch’s husband had previously alleged that unidentified burglars had murdered Crouch inside her house. He said that before murdering Caroline, the assailants had tied him up and threatened him.
Later, it was discovered that Anagnostopoulos had committed the murder and had made up a complex lie to hide his traces.
