Carson Daly opened out about a decades-long fight after undergoing a ground-breaking medical surgery following a snowmobile accident.
Following a 1990s injury, The Voice host experienced chronic lower back discomfort for many years.
He had his initial back surgery in July, but he had to have a follow-up in August.
Carson has struggled mightily over the past few years with excruciating back pain, and he just had his second operation in three months.
The TODAY co-host, 49, who has had back problems for years after getting hurt on a snowmobile, posted a picture of the successful treatment on Instagram.
How Did The Voice Host Fare?
His second back surgery in three months, according to sources, was an anterior lumbar interbody fusion.
The celebrity spoke candidly with his Today co-hosts about a horrible catastrophe that occurred decades ago and left him in excruciating pain.
In the 1990s, while he was still employed by MTV, the incident happened as he was riding a snowmobile in Aspen, Colorado.
The Voice host revealed that in addition to being knocked out, he also briefly lost the ability to feel anything below his legs.
He had a T12 compression fracture as a result of the accident, and even though the doctors said it wasn’t a serious injury, over time his discomfort got worse.
Carson underwent a novel minimally invasive technique called Intercept for a T12 compression fracture, took a week off from work, and then went back to work.

The Voice presenter allegedly updated fans after his post-surgery checkup and had taken time off work to recover from his procedure, according to HelloMagazine.
Carson stated that pain treatment was the sole remedy after the event. Even so, to make matters worse, he chose “physical therapy, yoga, massages, and cupping” after experiencing an adverse reaction to prescription drugs.
The Voice host was spinning a spacer and made a remark about how it resembled characters from a Christmas scene.
Carson sent a picture of his X-ray to Instagram along with the message: “Hello. Quick update: everything appears to be in terrific shape after my first post-spine fusion surgery exam with @andrewhechtmd. We also located our nativity scene’s missing pieces!
Additionally, Carson became upset as he revealed how much the pain affected him once he and his wife, Siri Daly, established their own family.
After his procedure at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, the Voice host thanked Dr. Andrew Hecht and his staff for their care.
