Sarah Henshaw, 31, was found dead in a layby adjacent to the M1 freeway after going missing for a week. The culprit has been located and is being prosecuted for murder.
A month ago, Sarah Henshaw disappeared. Her family reported her missing on June 23, and the Derbyshire Constabulary immediately issued a public plea for information.
On June 20, at about 9 p.m., the 31-year-old woman was last seen at her residence on Norman Street. Sarah is described as a Caucasian lady with a medium frame and long, straight black hair in a police posting.
Her not showing up for a family event surprised Henshaw’s parents and siblings. Sarah Henshaw was last seen leaving her Norman Street house on June 20 at around 9:00 p.m.
After the 31-year-old woman stopped responding to their messages, her family and friends filed a missing person’s report. Authorities released a description of her physical attributes and a plea for assistance in identifying her on June 23.
In its continued search for Sarah Henshaw, who has been missing since June 23, the Derbyshire Constabulary issued a fresh plea on June 24.
The woman, who had a tattoo on her right forearm, was last seen with a black backpack, a black jacket, a khaki shirt, a pair of thin blue trousers, and a pair of black flats, according to the police. She added a pair of huge gold hoops to her accessories.
Photographs show the aforementioned items on Ms. Henshaw. Regarding how and when they got the CCTV footage, the police have been evasive.
Authorities said on June 25 that they had started investigating a homicide and had made an arrest. A corpse was discovered in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, the next day as a result of searches for Sarah Henshaw, according to a government notification.
Police were sent to a layby off the westbound A617 at junction 29 of the M1 on the same day around one hour after midnight, where they discovered a body they believed to be Sarah.
Investigators claim that Ms. Henshaw’s loved ones were called and assistance was given.
Darren Hall was detained and accused of killing Sarah Henshaw
According to the Derbyshire police, Darren Hall, 36, is from the Rodney Way section of Ilkeston. At this moment, Darren Hall is still being held by the police.
Hall is expected to appear today, June 28, 2023, before the Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court, according to the BBC. Additionally, it appears that a warrant for further detention has been approved, allowing the police more time to interview the suspect.
Sarah Henshaw’s friends and family are shocked. The loss of Sarah Henshaw has upset and perplexed her loved ones. They still have not accepted their humiliation.
Two little children are supposedly Ms. Henshaw’s. Her mother and two sisters are also traveling with her.
Sarah’s mother, Lorraine Henshaw, has praised her much and described her as a “wonderful daughter and sister” on Tuesday.
Sarah, Lorraine’s oldest child, is a sweet sister and daughter. The upset grandmother continued by praising her daughter for raising her two little grandkids.
“Sarah has always been thoughtful and generous,” said Sarah’s mother. Lorraine states that the loss of their daughter has left her family absolutely shattered. The people who were close to Ms. Henshaw will mourn her terribly and will always have good memories of her.
