Celina Sinden was born on July 31, 1987, in London, England, hence she is a Leo with British nationality. She is an actress best known for her role in the television series “Reign,” but she is also well-known as the wife of famed Canadian actor Rossif Sutherland.

Celina grew up in London with her mother, an actress, and father, a car dealer. She began visiting the sets of movies and TV shows in which her mother appeared when she was eight years old, and this is when she became interested in acting.
She participated in several sports in high school, including women’s soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse, as well as running track, but on the advice of her mother, Celina began taking drama classes at her high school, and then enrolled at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting.

Celina’s love life began shortly after she joined Guildhall School of Music and Acting, with another drama student, and lasted three years until graduation when the two separated up to focus on their jobs. Celina later met Rossif Sutherland on the set of the TV show “Reign” in 2013. (Rossif appeared in 20 episodes of the series). They dated for three years before married on February 21, 2016, and she gave birth to their son Theodore Sutherland that same year. Prior to meeting Celina, Rossif was in a long-term relationship that ended a year before they met.

Celina grew up with a passion for music and had plans to pursue a modeling career before settling on acting.
She began her career as a model while attending Guildhall Drama School, but went on to get her first parts in theatre productions such as Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night,” adapted from Dickens’ novel “Nicholas Nickleby,” and Garcia Lorca’s “Blood Wedding,” among others.
Celina made her cinematic debut in the short film “My Neighbor’s Dog” in 2010 as Jane, however, her performance received little attention. She rose to prominence after landing the part of Greer Castleroy in the 2013 drama fantasy TV series “Reign,” which follows Mary, Queen of Scots as she deals with political and sexual intrigue in the milieu of the French court.
The show aired until 2017 and was a success, with a 7.5/10 rating on the IMDb website — Celina starred in all 78 episodes spanning four years, while other prominent actresses and actors in the series include Adelaide Kane (78 episodes), Megan Follows (78 episodes), and Torrance Coombs (78 episodes) (62 episodes). “Reign” received 21 nominations and four prizes, including a Canadian Screen Award for Best Costume Design, a GMS Award for best music supervision in a TV drama, and an HPA Award for excellent color grading – television.
Hobbies and other pursuits
Celina is an animal lover who has had various pets over the years, and she has claimed in an interview that she has become a pescatarian – a person who does not eat meat but eats fish – in order to set an example for others to follow. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies. Her favorite actors and actresses are Johnny Depp and Glenn Close, and her favorite films are “Alice in Wonderland,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Celina has traveled extensively throughout the years, visiting countries such as Luxembourg, France, and Italy, as well as spending a significant amount of time in Canada for the filming of the television series “Reign” (her husband is also Canadian). She enjoys spending her free time in nature, particularly in woods, mountains, and near rivers and lakes, and hopes to live in the countryside in the future, growing her own food and caring for domestic animals.
