Charles Luther Manson: Truth About Charles Manson’s Son

Charles Luther Manson

Charles Luther Manson is the late legendary criminal Charles Manson’s son. Luther’s father, the infamous Manson, was the leader of the Manson Family, a California-based cult. Between July and August 1969, some of the members murdered nine persons.

On more than one occasion, Charles left his own family while also enjoying the traditional life of a father and a husband. However, neither his ex-wives nor his children had a long-term relationship with him.

In fact, it appeared that they were unconcerned about the convicted criminal. Furthermore, each of them did a good job of hiding from public scrutiny, so much so that not even their deaths were reported in the media. Charles Luther Manson, Charles Manson’s second son, is one such name.

In the 1960s, Charles Luther Manson was born

He was born on September 24, 1960, according to the book The Life and Times of Charles Manson, but he was born in early September 1961, according to the book.

His mother was a Los Angeles sex worker.

According to Jeff Guinn’s Manson, The Life and Times of Charles Manson-Simon & Schuster (2013), Luther’s mother, Candy Stevens, was born around the year 1940.

While it is unknown where she was born or who her family was, biographers have stated that she met Manson in Los Angeles, California. She was a prostitute at the time. Though it is unknown whether Charles urged her to do so or if she was already in the industry.

According to author Ed Sanders’ book, The Family: The Story of Charles Manson’s Dune Buggy Attack Battalion, Stevens appeared to police as a Caucasian woman.

To avoid prison, Charles Manson married Charles Luther’s mother.

According to biographies and sources, the time was possibly in the mid-1950s. And Luther’s mother was working for Charles on the street.

She had also lied about her pregnancy in order to persuade the court and jury to forgive her murderer husband. Candy stated that if they let her go, she and Manson would marry and establish a family.

Charles transported Candy and another female from California to New Mexico after being released from prison in December 1959. However, the police apprehended them, and the Manson family’s leader was charged with violating the Mann Act, which barred transporting women across state lines for prostitution.

The Marriage of Charles Luther Manson’s Parents Was A Tragedy

Manson attempted to marry Stevens after his incarceration. This was done to keep her from testifying against him. The rule prohibited wives from speaking out against their husbands. As a result, Luther’s parents married in 1959.

Leona nevertheless testified, and her then-husband was sent back to prison. She appears to have done so in order to get her own charges dropped, thereby becoming a “material witness.”

Leona became pregnant with Charles Luther Manson in March 1960. She then gave birth to her son and Charlie’s kid in September 1960.

Leona and Manson, Luther’s biological parents, divorced in January 1964. Candy was granted sole custody of her son.

Charles, his famed father, he never met.

As much as we’d like to express how terrible it is that a child has never met his father, it is the standard here. Luther’s father, Charles, was imprisoned at the time of his birth. His legendary father was in and out of prison throughout his childhood.

Leona, his mother, reared him entirely on her own. We might assume that Charles wanted to meet his criminal father, but after learning of the horrific acts he did, he may have changed his mind. One has to question if Charles Luther wants anything to do with his father.

Candy Stevens, where are you now?

After the divorce, Leona Rae Musser had limited contact with their ex-husband. According to sources, she tried everything she could to keep herself and her son out of the spotlight.

She hasn’t made any headlines to date.

Luther’s late criminal father, on the other hand, remarried in November 2014 to Afton Elaine Burton, a 26-year-old Illinois woman. Manson and Burton, on the other hand, were unable to marry because the former believed his bride-to-be was only interested in marrying him for notoriety. Afton, for her part, stated that the ceremony could not take place since Charles’ marriage license had expired.

Nonetheless, Luther’s father died on November 19, 2017.

Sibling of Charles Luther Manson

Jay White (formerly Charles Manson Jr.) was Luther’s half-brother. Charles Manson’s first marriage to Rosalie Jean Willis produced him.

White committed suicide by shooting himself in the head in Burlington, Colorado, in 1993. Jason Freeman, White’s estranged son, told CNN in 2012 that he believed his father committed himself because he was Manson’s son. White, on the other hand, did not leave any suicide notes.

Jason, like his grandfather, had a difficult childhood. As a child, he reportedly spent time in juvenile detention centers, county jail, and, eventually, prison. Though it has been a long time since he began living a clean life.

His Other Sibling

Charles Manson, Luther’s father, also had a third son, Valentine Michael Manson. In 1968, he was born in Topanga Canyon to his dedicated disciple Mary Brunner. Mary, a UC Berkeley campus librarian, was Manson’s follower who joined The Manson Family cult.

According to rumors Manson named his son Valentine after the protagonist in Robert Heinlein’s favorite novel, Stranger In A Strange Land.

Valentine, like Luther and Manson Jr, did not live long with his father’s name. Mary’s parents successfully petitioned for Valentine’s guardianship in 1970. They then renamed him Michael Brunner. According to reports, Michael considers his father to be a bad person and is grateful to have grown up with his grandparents in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Charles Luther Manson has how many other siblings?

It is unknown how many children Manson fathered while alive. When a reporter asked the late serial killer in 1981 how many children he had, Manson answered,

“I’m not sure.” I’ve got a lot of kids, man. In fact, I sometimes mistake you for a child,”

The Romper reports.

There were persons who claimed to be Manson’s children up to his death, but all of their paternity tests came back negative. Zezozose Zadfrack Glutz, born to Susan Atkins; Phoenix, born to Catherine Share; and Ivan, born to Sandra Good were among the names.

In addition, Matthew Roberts, a Los Angeles-based wannabe rock musician, claimed to be Manson’s heir. Another name who claimed to be Manson’s grandson was Jason Freeman, despite his DNA test indicated he was from Charles’ ancestry. Furthermore, Rebecca Evans-Bonyadi of Los Angeles claimed to be the criminal’s daughter, but there has been no definitive proof as of yet.

Is he still living?

Luther was the most successful at remaining anonymous among Manson’s offspring. In 1976, he reportedly changed his name to Jay Charles Warner because his first name was the same as that of his deceased half-brother. He purportedly died in 2007 at the age of 47. Warner was described as a tall man with blond hair and blue eyes by some.

Charles Luther Manson was married?

The hidden life of Charles’ second son allowed for almost no detail about how he spent the majority of his life. Some individuals believe Jay is still alive, while others feel he has passed away.

Warner did have a family and at least one daughter, according to Manson Blog in April 2017. In fact, she even gave a fuzzy photo of him. However, some believe that the hypothesis is flawed because it does not include DNA testing.
