The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission alleges that Anton was allegedly discovered unresponsive and given CPR by Miami Fire Rescue, according to the Miami Herald.
On January 18, 2023, two boats collided not far from Miami Marine Stadium.
As Charlotte FC had a 12-day training camp in Fort Lauderdale to kick off the 2023 preseason, according to The Charlotte Observer, Anton was in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale region with the squad.
The couple’s little daughter Ayla and the midfielder Anton’s fiancée Alexis both survived him.

According to Anton, his parents were up all night in England, where they were watching their son score the important goal, and they were unable to go asleep after it was over.
Following the devastating news, condolences poured in from all across the soccer world. The sports director of the Anton club, Zoran Krneta, stated: “We are devastated by the death of Anton Walkes.
