Chelsea Ready To Make €50m Offer for Gavi

Chelsea

Chelsea is prepared to sign Barcelona midfielder Gavi, according to the Spanish publication El Nacional (via The Hard Tackle).

Gavi is a component of the La Masia youth system. The 17-year-old midfielder has been included in the Barcelona first team after standing out during preseason earlier this summer. With 11 appearances this season, Gavi has shown to be a first-team regular despite his youth.

According to the aforementioned source, Chelsea is eager to capture the 17-year-old midfielder and is prepared to meet his €50 million release clause. It’s important to note that Gavi is still employed by Barcelona B. His release clause will be raised to €100 million once he reaches the first-team group.

Barcelona, on the other hand, is now negotiating a new deal with the 17-year-old and is aware of the talent at its disposal. Barcelona is prepared to extend Gavi a new, lengthy deal with a €1 billion release clause, claims Fabrizio Romano.

Chelsea, on the other hand, wants to give their midfield more depth. Saul Niguez has not impressed Tuchel while on loan from Atletico Madrid, and players like N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are not getting any younger. Another player from AS Monaco who has been linked to a transfer to Stamford Bridge is Aurelien Tchouameni.

Regardless of the team he joins, Gavi will be a strong asset. The 17-year-old midfielder has performed admirably for Spain while on international duty, and he is a strong candidate to make the final World Cup roster. Gavi has so far received four national team appearances for Spain.

Some of the top youth academies in the world are found at Chelsea and Barcelona. Some of the best promising talents of the present age have come from both institutions.

La Masia has long been held in high esteem as the best football academy. In the past, Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba have all come from Barcelona’s academy. Ansu Fati, Gavi, Nico Gonzalez, and Riqui Puig are recent academy grads.

The kid’s program at Chelsea has achieved comparable success. Recent Blues greats include Mason Mount, Reece James, Tammy Abraham, Billy Gilmour, Valentino Livramento, and Conor Gallagher.

Contrary to Barcelona, Chelsea is not recognized for providing young players opportunities with the first squad. The rise of Mount, James, Abraham, and Hudson-Odoi, all of whom have had regular first-team appearances, is progressively altering this narrative, though.
