After Pneumonia Battle, Chelsea Woodruff Dies
Chelsea’s death was caused by bacterial pneumonia. The primary causes of this pneumonia are Streptococcus pneumonia and, especially in children, Mycoplasma pneumonia. Many people with pneumonia recover well with therapy, although it can cause lung problems and infections.
In certain cases, pneumonia is lethal. Unfortunately, the girl’s pneumonia was one of those situations. She had six difficult days at Sick Kids Hospital’s critical care unit. She exhibited great courage and determination there.
Woodruff persevered despite hardships. Considering her youth, her strength, and tenacity were impressive. Even with all her resolve, Chelsea’s illness became too much. Her family and loved ones were devastated by her tragic death.
