Nguyen developed an early interest in the performing arts, especially acting. She used to perform in and engage in nearly every activity at her school regularly.
She traveled alone to Australia when she was sixteen years old to follow her passion and fulfill her ambition of becoming an actress.
Nguyen, however, found it challenging to move to a country that was so remote from her own. Her parents urged her to go into medicine, information technology, or business.

They were concerned since, particularly in Vietnam, they had never heard of somebody deciding to pursue acting while overseas. Students typically major in business, information technology, or medicine since such fields offer more steady employment after graduation.
After years of pleading with her parents to allow her, Nguyen took a trip to Australia and enrolled in the acting program at the Victorian College of Arts.
In addition, the college awarded her the “Grace Marion Wilson Scholarship” in recognition of her outstanding acting abilities.

Is Chi Nguyen Single? Relationship
Vietnamese-born actress Nguyen hasn’t disclosed many details about her personal life to the public or media, giving the impression that she is a private person.
Nonetheless, several of her Instagram pictures and posts under the handle @_chinguyen_ appear to suggest that she is having a love relationship with Ryan Pham.
On August 16, 2018, Nguyen shared several adorable and funny pictures of the couple on the handle. Happy third anniversary to Ryan and herself, she wrote in a short status update that included the images.
Furthermore, it attests to the fact that the pair began dating in August 2015, or almost seven years ago.

In the 2017 short film Iridescent, Nguyen starred in her first acting role in a supporting role. She was chosen for the starring part of Stella in the movie Repent or Perish the following year.

Vietnamese-Australian actress Chi Nguyen portrays adolescent Jeanette Dao in the Amazon Prime series The Wilds. She appeared in three of the series’ episodes between 2020 and 2022.
