Raymond Yu (born July 12, 1982) is an American rapper, performer, activist, and former gang member best known as China Mac. His Chinese immigrant parents from Hong Kong raised him in Brooklyn. Yu was relocated to a group home for youngsters who couldn’t afford a home when he was eight years old. He rose to prominence after publishing his police brutality anthem, “Buck A Cop.”
China Mac co-founded Red Money Records, a recording studio and label. He had been a member of the Chinese-American group Ghost Shadows since he was 12 years old.
Mac, whose true name is Raymond Yu, grew raised in an unusual household. His father was a member of the Flying Dragons, a well-known and extremely vicious Chinese American gang renowned for killings, kidnappings, and drug trafficking in the 1980s. China is an American citizen by birth. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and his heritage is Chinese. The Brooklyn-born Chinese-American rapper has over 11,000 YouTube followers for his China Mac Music channel and has collaborated with notable NYC rappers such as Dave East, Young M.A., Cory Guns, and Jadakiss.
Yu was heavily affected by gang culture, and at the age of 12, he joined the Ghost Shadows, a Chinese American street gang. Furthermore, his interest in rap and music grew while he was in the gang. He wants to do freestyle rap with other kids at the Juvenile Detention Center. China has not yet married, but he is now seeing Ohashi Reynold.

China Since the early 2000s, Mac has spent a significant amount of time in prison. At the age of 18, he was sentenced to three years in prison for a gang-related offense. Mac shot fellow rapper Christopher Louie in the back in 2003, paralyzing him partially. According to NestShark, China Mac got into a disagreement with Mc Jin after Jin allegedly humiliated the wife of Mac’s friend.
Following that, China Mac confronted Jin inside the bathroom of New York’s Yello club. After Jin’s buddy and fellow rapper, Christopher Louie, allegedly walked inside the restroom with a knife, the brawl escalated. In the blink of an eye, the debate escalated into a lethal brawl. When China saw Christopher approaching him with a knife, he pulled out a revolver and pointed it at Louie’s head. However, the rifle jammed as he tried to squeeze the trigger. In a rush, he shot Louie in the back, paralyzing him somewhat.
After the incident, Mac stayed on the run for over a year until being apprehended while attempting to flee to Canada with a phony passport.
In November 2013, he was granted parole. With the money, he earned while in prison, he founded Red Money Records and pet sore.
