After Chloe Bailey’s February 16, 2023, Twitter post announcing her collaboration with Chris Brown went viral, and some netizens took to social media to express their displeasure. Some Twitter users, citing Brown’s history of abuse, called the new collaboration “disgusting” and asked Chloe to “remove” the post and song from the album.
Nonetheless, many Twitter users jumped on board to support Bailey, citing Chris’s artistic talent. They reported that Bailey was “barely” receiving online support, but when Brown is mentioned, she is chastised.

Chris Brown’s allegations of assault date back to 2009, when he was dating Rihanna. The Umbrella singer was outspoken at the time about Brown hitting her, which resulted in several injuries. Later, he pled guilty and admitted to hitting Rihanna. As a result of the incident, he lost many business contracts and received a lot of criticism.
Brown’s other ex-girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran, obtained a restraining order against him shortly after. She accused him of stalking her, sending her derogatory texts, and attempting to harm her physically. Brown was charged with numerous offenses following an incident with Frank Ocean, in addition to assaulting his ex-girlfriends and being involved in domestic violence cases. According to the latter, Brown allegedly threatened to “shoot” him. Furthermore, in 2013, he was involved in a hit-and-run case in Los Angeles but avoided prison time because the charges were dropped.
Chris Brown previously sought treatment for untreated bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. In January 2022, another woman filed a civil suit against Brown, accusing him of r*ping her aboard a boat in Florida. The incident occurred in December 2020, according to the complaint.
However, when he re-entered the music industry, celebrities who have been photographed in a single frame with him since then faced widespread condemnation. Similarly, Normani, a former Fifth Harmony member, was chastised for working with Chris Brown. Chloe Bailey’s next single, How Does It Feel, featuring Chris Brown, will be released on February 24, 2023. More songs from her album, In Pieces, will be released in the coming weeks.
